Meet matt

I didn't create TalentLoch to become a global agency or to redefine an entire industry. My goal was simpler: to create fantastic experiences for a select number of people and build deep, meaningful relationships. TalentLoch is about taking the best parts of what I’ve learned over a long and winding career and leaving poor industry practices behind.

My journey started in hospitality, where I learned first-hand what it takes to build and lead diverse teams under pressure. After moving to the UK, I joined a top global agency and got a masterclass in the recruitment industry, learning how (and how not) to succeed in a highly competitive market.

My approach was truly shaped when I returned to Australia and joined a high-touch, boutique agency. It was there that two key mentors helped me craft a specialised approach that was a true reflection of my personality; meticulous, empathetic, and focused on listening. It’s this unique blend of experience and a highly personal touch that is the bedrock of TalentLoch. It's how we find the talent others miss.

Why is this so personal?

Because hiring is a deeply personal experience. It’s easy for agencies to forget what it feels like to be on the other side, to be one of fifteen candidates, or to be juggling multiple offers while everyone else is focused on their own bottom line. We’re here to fix that by working with people who understand and value the personal nature of what we do.

A family of four standing outdoors on a cloudy day, with a grassy area and trees in the background. The father has a beard and is wearing a white shirt, holding a baby dressed in a blue sweater. The mother, wearing a cream-colored sleeveless top and skirt, is holding a young girl dressed in pink. They are all smiling and looking at the camera.
